With power and soul, Anny Lieberman is best known for her remarkable ability to deliver amazing performances in a wide range of music styles, including rock, blues, pop, Celtic and opera on many stages throughout her career. A Los Angeles native, she was influenced early on by the likes of Chaka Khan, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Aretha Franklin, The Doobie Brothers, and Minnie Ripperton to name a few.
Starting her career, with “band Whose Image,” she was signed to Quincy Jones’' label Qwest Records. “Prince meets The Beatles meets Aerosmith” was what the industry trades were calling their musical performances as they mesmerized the crowds to packed houses on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. “They soon were featured on MTV and became opening act for the one-and-only Sheila E. Lenny Kravitz, Prince, and U2 were just a few of the band’s celebrity artist fans and that were known to attend “Whose Image” concerts in New York and Los Angeles. They were also slotted for Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker’s opening band on their U.S. tour just before “Whose Image” broke up.
After “Whose Image” disbanded, Anny began studying with the renowned opera music vocal coach Ralph Wells whose well-established career includes a featured role as baritone with the legendary Placido Domingo.
In 2009, Anny made her debut performance with Celtic Fushion band Finn MacCool at the John Ford Amphitheatre to a sold out house. Deciding to switch gears and pursue her hunger for Blues, Anny has graced the stages in Hollywood and Los Angeles.
Currently, Anny is working with Producer Don Peake who was just recently inducted into the Music Hall of Fame for his work in the "Wrecking Crew". Her debut album entitled "ANNY" will be released in Fall of this year.
